Shirley V. Forsythe, age 88, of State Hwy 285,  Espyville, passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 in UPMC Greenville. 

She was born in Pittsburgh on September 22, 1927  to Arthur and Myrtle Mundorff Short.  She was a salesclerk at Famous Dept. Store, McKeesport, Pa.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake.  Shirley was a member of Greenock Women's Club and Greenock VFD Women's Auxillary both in Greenock, Pa.   She enjoyed crafts, camping, fishing, gardening and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved spending time with her family.  

On June 14, 1948 she married Clarence D. Forsylthe, he survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Sharen Holsing and her husband Jack of McKeesport, Pa,  Cindy Lou Beirne and her husband Clifford of N. Huntington, Pa, two sons, Richard Forsythe and his wife Zoe of Morgantown, WV, Ronnie Forsythe and his wife Fran of Jamestown, Pa, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Short. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N. 3rd St., Conneaut Lake with Rev. William Greene officiating.
