Olive Jean “Hub” Thomas, age 73, of Hadley Rd., Perry Twp., passed away Tuesday evening, September 4, 2018 in the ER of UPMC Horizon Greenville.
She was born in Canton, OH on April 15, 1945 to Robert and Gertrude (Moody) Luckock. She was a 1964 graduate of Greenville High School. Olive retired from Hodge Foundry after 27 years as a receptionist and with her late husband was also the owner/operator of Thomas Gardens in Hadley for 22 years. She had previously been employed as a switchboard operator for 18 years at the former Chicago Bridge & Iron.
Olive enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, was inseparable with her grandson Ty, and gardening with her daughter Dana.
On June 22, 1968 she married Dale O. Thomas, he passed away January 10, 2011.
She is survived by four daughters, Dana Noble and her husband Christopher with whom she resided, Patty McGranahan and her husband Dave of Greenville, Debbie MacGregor and her husband Skip of Fredonia and Diana Eperthener and her husband Ed of Mercer; a brother, Thomas Luckock and his wife Mary Jane of Greenville; five grandchildren, Lucas Eperthener, Jacob MacGregor, Michael MacGregor, Erin Neff and her husband Joe and Ty Noble and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Robert Luckock a sister, Bessie Stanley and an infant brother.

Dear Dana, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mom. Praying God comforts you in your time of loss.
Olive was a loving and caring mother in law. I miss her so much. Dana, your mother was more than a mother in law to me she was my friend, and the one constant in my life that understood my ups and downs and loved me through them all just as you do. I love you Dana and we will pull through this. Dana, you Ty and I will always have her in our heart.

We’re so sorry to hear of Olive’s death. She visited several years ago to see the farm where
she and Dale once lived in Greene Twp and sold to us in ’78. They were both lovely people.
