You have my deepest sympathy. She was one of my favorite teachers. I remember a trip to Harrisburg to participate in student government. We had a great time but while we were there the Three Mile Island incident occurred. She never panicked but kept us all calm. We finished the weekend and came home safe and sound!

She was my civics teacher. We shared,a liove of horses so we would get her talking on that subject instead of civics.
She will be missed by many fellow Reynolds students.

She loved teaching and had a passion for Civics. Not everybody’s favorite class, but she tried her best to make it enjoyable.

She was a tough cookie when it came to civics. Lots of memories. I’d love to get her off topic and start talking about her horses then we wouldn’t have a civics lesson that day. She will be remembered with love and respect. Rip Mrs Arkilander

Sorry for your loss Bruce. Fond memories of having her as a teacher. When I saw her at Perkins I would always sit and talk to her and would visit the school when I came home on leave.
Everyone loved and respected her. We will miss her greatly.

She was my teacher almost 40 years ago. Because of her I’ve had a lifelong interest and appreciation for civics and the Constitution. And can still recite the Preamble to the Constitution that we had to learn in her class! Sorry for your loss.
