Burial with committal prayers in Delaware Twp. Cemetery
Patricia A. Landfried went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, September 21, 2017 after suffering from a sudden illness. Surrounded by her loving family, Patricia passed away at 2:00pm in the afternoon at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Pat as she was known to her family and friends, was the daugher of James and Marjorie (McCurdy) Groover. She was born in the family home on October 11, 1932 in Greenville, PA. Pat was the eldest of two children. She had a brother, Frederick Groover, who preceded her in death.
Pat is survived by her husband, Darrell Richard Landfried. They were united in marriage on April 21, 1972. They celebrated 45 years of love, family, and togetherness. Pat is also survived by three sons; James (Martha) Henry, Gary (Kathleen) Henry, Bradley (Rochelle) Henry, stepson Richard (Janet) Landfried all of Greenville, step daughter Barbara Landfried of Jacksonville, FL. and sister-in-law Margaret Groover of Greenville, PA. Rounding out Pat’s family tree are 11 grandchildren Troy Henry, Shannon Ritzert, Cari Baily, Michael Price, Jason Henry, Amanda Henry, Elizabeth Inglis, Brandon Henry, Nicole Chandler, David Landfried, Kyle Landfried and 22 great-grandchildren; as well as one nephew, Jeffrey Groover and one niece Beth Eckley.
Pat was a faithful member of the Jerusalem Christian Church and loved to sing old hymns. Some of her favorites being Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art and The Old Rugged Cross.
She retired from National City Bank with 16 years of service. To this day, her co-workers still gather to celebrate special occasions. She was an avid bowler with 45 years in the Tuesday Night League at Greenville Lanes, Wednesday Night Women's’ and Sunday Night Mixed Couples Leagues at Celebrity Bowl as well as participating in numerous state tournaments. Pat loved to crochet blankets for her grandchildren, cheat at cards (Euchre) and play Sequence. She also had a newfound hobby of communicating on Facebook with family and friends.

Many, many wonderful memories of nearly a lifetime friendship come to mind as we morn the loss of dear Pat, but we rejoice in her now being present with the Lord. Love and prayers for you and family.
Thoughts and Prayers are with Dick and the family. Pat was a dear cousin and friend who loved the Lord and is with Him now. We will miss her.
