
Richard C. Woodworth, age 68, of Hittle Ave., Hempfield Twp., passed away on Monday evening, October 24, 2016 in his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Greenville on February 1, 1948 to Robert E. and Harriett E. (DeArmant) Woodworth. Richard was a 1966 graduate of Greenville Senior High School and had received an Associates Degree in Business from Penn State University. He retired in 2013 from Pine Instrument Technology, Grove City, where he had been employed for twenty-five years as a purchasing agent. He was of the Lutheran Faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Richard's other interests included, woodworking, rooting for the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians, family trips to Holmes County, Ohio, and most of all, watching and supporting his grandchildren in sports, plays, and other activities.
Survivors include his wife, the former Linda Ann Ferguson, whom he married on June 19,1971, a daughter, Amanda Woodworth Sharp of Greenville, a son, Shane Woodworth and his wife Dena of Los Angeles, CA, seven grandchildren, Alexis, Madison and Tyler Dickson, Grace Sharp, Lliam, Jonas and Willow Woodworth and a great-grandson Grayson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation was chosen and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Football Club, 9 Donation Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or to the Greenville Little League, PO Box 544, Greenville, PA 16125.
Arrangements were handled by Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

I worked with Richard at Pine for many years, and he was always pleasant & professional to work with.(although we did enjoy many discussions about fishing & hunting!) We missed him greatly upon his retirement. God bless your family and bring you His comfort
