
Ricky Lee Thompson, Sr., age 61, of W. Jamestown Rd., W. Salem Twp., passed away Friday afternoon, July 22, 2016 in his residence.
Mr. Thompson was born in Greenville on June 7, 1955 to Frederick LeRoy Miller, Sr. and Thelma (Bankston) Miller. He had attended Reynolds High School and was a graduate of the New Castle School of Trades.
Ricky Lee was employed as a welder for twenty-five years at the former Trinity Industries. He was a longtime member of Fraternal Order Of Eagles Lodge #805 and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most of all, Ricky Lee loved his family and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On February 22, 1974 he married the former Mary L. Gehr, she survives at home. Also surviving is a daughter, Tammy Liska of Greenville, two sons, Christopher Thompson and his fiancé Allison Shaw of Greenville, and Ricky Lee Thompson, Jr. of Greenville, two sisters, Celeste Liberato and her husband Angelo of The Villages, FL, and Angie Titus and her husband Ed of Greenville, a brother, Frederick LeRoy Miller, Jr. and his wife Lori of Greenville, seven grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Christina Lewis, Crystan Liska, Jacob Liska, Natalie Thompson, Sam Liska, and AlyssaLiska, four great-grandchildren, Colton Wilkerson, Connor Wilkerson, Carter Uber, and Kinsley Knight, and his step grandmother, Jean Bankston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son-in-law, Christopher Liska.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, PA.
