Mr. Lenkner was a wonderful teacher at Lakeview High School. We always enjoyed talking with him in Chemistry class. If we wanted more time before for an exam, he would ask us to justify it. I think he enjoyed our creative reasoning and often gave us more time just because we put forth the effort. He is still a teacher I remember fondly 35 years later.

Tom and I extend our deepest sympathy to Bob’s family. We always teased him about having had the good judgement to have hired us – Tom, in 1965 to teach English and be advisor for newspaper and yearbook. I was hired in 1967 to teach art. We were married in 1968 and the rest is history. From that time we have had an ongoing relationship that encompassed the highs and lows of a lifetime – both professional and personal. He leaves a rich legacy – in our opinion , he will always be our best and favorite school principal many times over!
