Ruth Anne Blake, age 96, of E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2018 in St. Paul's.
She was born in Clark, PA on November 18, 1921 a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Webster) MacDonald. She was a 1940 graduate of Hickory High School. On July 12, 1941 Ruth married Howard Blake, he passed away May 7, 1991. Ruth was employed at the former R.D. Werner Co. for 30 years. She was a member of Westford United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Century Chapter 100, and the former Blue Star Mothers.
Ruth is survived by two sons; Robert Blake and his wife Dorothy of Jamestown, William Blake and his wife Shirley of Transfer, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Walter and Francis MacDonald, three sisters, Cora Davis, Helen Morrison, and Jane Miller.

Thinking fondly of Aunt Ruthie. I’ll always remember her hosting Mom & Dad’s 25th wedding celebration at the lake. My heartfelt sympathy to Bill, Bob, and their families. Peace be with you.
