Thomas I. Alabran, Sr., age 84, of Kennard-Osgood Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence.

He was born in Smicksburg, PA on December 3, 1934 to Fulbert C. and Leona (Gearhart) Alabran. Tom was a 1955 graduate of Penn High School and retired in 1996 from the former Greenville Steel Car Co., where he worked as a press operator for thirty-five years. In addition he worked the family farm in Kennard for many years.

Tom was a member of New Apostolic Church, Greenville. On June 9, 1956 he married the former Larue W. Reefer, she passed on April 16, 2001.

Tom is survived by two daughters; Joyce Putnam and her husband Frank of Greenville and Donna Ward and her husband Sale of Sandy Lake, two sons: Thomas I. Alabran, Jr. and Terry I. Alabran and his wife Terri, all of Greenville, a sister; Rachel Fleeger of Franklin, a brother; Richard Alabran, Sr. of Cochranton, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a companion; Doris Williams, a son; Timothy I. Alabran, Sr., a grandson; Benjamin I. Alabran and four brothers; Raymond Alabran, Sr., John Alabran, Sr., Walter Alabran, Sr. and Fulbert Alabran, Sr.
