Dear Nancy and family, What a true loss to our wonderful COLONY family ! Tom always added such fun to any gathering – a jolly, personal joke to make one’s day. I’ll never forget his thoughtfulness to Dave. The two of you were the first to encourage us to move to THE COLONY and we’re forever grateful for your sincere friendship ever since. May the good memories and the love of those who were so blessed by knowing the Hoffackers, bring you some peace as you travel this journey. With love, Peg Lehto

Close to 50 years ago, Tom and Nancy befriended young newlyweds and became precious friends. I had not begun seminary and had a lot to learn, and I learned many valuable lessons from Tom, who was a wonderful example. A great man of God. Over my 40-plus years of preaching, I would often ask myself how my sermon would feed and encourage someone like Tom. He would never have believed it while alive, but now knows how much he helped me. Time with Tom and Nancy always warmed our souls. See you in Heaven, dear brother.

Mark, Lynne and I send prayers of comfort and peace through this time of grieving. We didn’t have a chance to meet your father, but I can tell you he was great at raising his son into a class A role model. Again our prayers and condolences.
