Toni Marie McElhinny, age 27, of Greenville went home to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, February 2, 2018.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 18, 1990 a daughter of Doug McElhinny of Greenville and Natalie (Nicklin) Higbee and her husband Mark of Greenville. She was a 2009 graduate of Greenville High School and attended Thiel College, California University of Pennsylvania, and Laurel Technical Institute.
Toni was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. She loved to dance, sing, paint, animals, doing hair, and had a special bond with her little cousins.
She is survived by her parents, a brother who she adored; Seth Higbee of Greenville, maternal grandparents; Thomas and June Gessler, Edward and Lori Nicklin all of Greenville, Evelyn Higbee of Fredonia, paternal grandparents; Douglas McElhinny and his wife Mernee of Greenville, three aunts; Jodi Lewis and her husband Steve of Cranberry, Tammy Enders and her husband Edward of Raleigh, NC, Nicole D'urso and her husband Mike of Greenville, two uncles; Christopher Nicklin and Casey Nicklin both of Greenville, many cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by an aunt, Betsy Smith, grandfather Rick Higbee, an uncle, Billy Smock, and several great grandparents. May God now grant her the peace she has been seeking so very long.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125.

I said a prayer for you…loving Lord i want to lift up Natalie and her family as they go through much grief from the lost of her daughter… and she may be finding it difficult to come with terms with all that has taken place in the last few days. I humbly ask that You would provide the family with comfort that they need to come to terms with all that has happened and give them the strength to face the days ahead.
Lord i know that their grief can be overwhelming and I am hurting for them and know not what to do to help- so i am coming to You in prayer to ask you that You will meet each of them at their point of need and help this family to turn to You at this sad time.
I pray that as the day passes and the weeks ahead Your healing touch will comfort and succour them in this time of distress and may this be a time that causes each of them to draw closer to You, knowing that You alone can heal the broken hearted and bring joy out of pain.

So many hearts are broken with the passing of Toni! She was taken away much too soon! She was beautiful & had a vibrant personality! She is no longer in pain but in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ! My heart breaks for you all. My prayers are for comfort in this difficult time. May our Lord wrap his arms around you all hold you tight, wipe your tears, and ease your pain. I love you all, you were blessed with a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend hold onto the wonderful memories she placed on your heart, think of those when you miss her. The video showed what an amazing smile Toni had and it touched so many.

Oh Natalie, My heart is broken for you. Tears fill my eyes as I think of the pain you are feeling. Although it has been years since we have seen each other, I could you a special friend. I will never forget our days together at Bethesda and riding together to work there and the many deep conversations we had during those rides. I lost a son in 2011 and a granddaugter in 2010. I share your pain and so wish it was not happening to you. Please know I am here for you if you need to talk, share memories of Toni, laugh, or go for a ride. I love you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing someone in death brings such pain and sorrow especially when they are so young. Reflect on the fact that God knows exactly how you feel because he tragically lost a son in death at a very young age. His pain and sorrow was eased when he raised his son Jesus Christ back to life and he promises to do the same for us. In the bible at John 5:28, 29 it tells us “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Yes, we have the hope of seeing our loved ones again when Jesus resurrects them in the very near future. It will be at a time when God “will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Revelation 21:3, 4).
