Ann Marie Bunton, age 102, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, February 10, 2024 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community after a two week stay of an extended illness. She was born on September 5, 1921 in Montepagano, Italy to Luigi and Maria (D’Ambrosio) Langiotti. She and her family immigrated to the United States in December 1921 when she was 3 months old and settled in Hartstown, Pa. Her family moved to Greenville in 1924.

Ann graduated from St. Michael High School in 1939, and was the oldest surviving member of the school. She married Joseph Charles Bunton on February 26, 1946. He passed away on January 13, 1975. Ann was a lifetime member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. She enjoyed scrabble, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo and various card games, Anderson bus trips, going to the casino, scratch off lottery tickets, flower gardening, yard work and spending time with her family. She also liked to travel. She celebrated her 97th birthday in Anchorage, Alaska while visiting her grandson.

She is survived by four children, Don Bunton (Maria), Mount Vernon, OH, Richard Bunton, Redmond, WA, Joyce Allen (Mike), Greenville, and Nancy Schoenfeld (Steve), Canfield, OH, two brothers, Alphonse Langiotti and Paul Langiotti, Greenville, and a sister, Sister Edith Langiotti, R.S.M., Erie, PA, six grandchildren, Bryan Bunton (Jen), Des Moines, IA, Lisa Boucher (Aaron), Medina, OH, Michael Allen, Greenville, Jeffrey Allen, San Diego, CA, Steven Schoenfeld, Jr. (Brittany), Canfield, OH, and Natalie Molnar (Taylon), Colorado Springs, CO, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Bunton, two brothers and their wives, Joseph Langiotti (Stella) and William Langiotti (Shirley), her sister, Theresa Langiotti, and a sister-in-law, Norma Langiotti.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125 or to Sisters of Mercy of The America’s Advancement Office, 625 Abbott Rd., Buffalo, NY 14220. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
