Anna Hrivnak

Anna J. Hrivnak, age 96, of New York, NY, passed away Friday evening, July 21, 2023.

She was born in Greenville on September 7, 1926 to Nick and Antoinette (Delett) Guerrini. She was a 1944 graduate of Penn High School.

She was employed in Human Resources for nineteen years at the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Sharon and she retired from City Bank where she had worked as a Teller and Safety Deposit Manager for eighteen years. Anna was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in New York City. She was an avid bridge player and reader. She especially enjoyed reading mysteries and historical fiction novels and working on crossword puzzles.

On April 4, 1964 she married John A. Hrivnak, he passed away on March 17, 2006. Anna is survived by her son; John M. Hrivnak of New York, NY, her brother; Rich Guerrini and his wife Carolyn of Greenville and a sister-in-law; Arlene Guerrini of Pinellas Park, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister; Carmella Pomponio and three brothers; James Guerrini, Carl Guerrini and Robert Guerrini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with Rev. Brandon Kleckner, Pastor of the church as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
