Barbara Lee Ferguson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on April 6th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Greenville Pennsylvania on November 11, 1950, to Merle Herrick and Margaret Hannah, Barbara lived a life full of kindness, compassion, and creativity, leaving behind a lasting impact on all who knew her.
As a devoted homemaker, Barbara had a natural gift for making everyone feel like family. Whether you were a close relative or a passing friend, her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and love. Barbara’s compassion extended far beyond her family. She was a lifelong animal lover and spent countless hours rehabilitating birds, stray pets, and any creature in need of care. Her gentle touch and loving heart made the world a better place for so many.
Barbara’s love for the outdoors was just as profound. She enjoyed spending time in nature, whether fishing by the lake or riding horses in her younger years. She also had a remarkable creative spirit, finding joy in woodworking, crafting, ceramics, and especially creating beautiful paper crafts. Decorating the house for holidays and hosting gatherings were among her favorite activities, and her artistic touch brought joy to everyone who entered her home.
Surrounded by her family at the time of her passing, Barbara leaves behind her devoted husband, David Lee Ferguson, and their children: Jamie Kiser (David), Donna Durst (Jack), Shelley Triola (Matt), Carrie Kostansek (David), Shaun Ferguson, and Justin Ferguson (Marisa). She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Herrick (Nancy), Jeff Herrick, and Patricia Vindigni, along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
