Basil J. Nottingham, age 91, of Kinsman Rd., W. Salem Twp., passed away Monday morning, November 27, 2023. He was born in Adamsville, PA on April 10, 1932 to Basil H. and Dorothy (Johnson) Nottingham.

Basil attended E. Fallowfield School and served in the U. S. Army from 1953-1955. He had been employed as a welder at the former Trinity Industries for 38 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Fitzmartin Council # 1446 and had coached Greenville Little League for 8 years. Basil enjoyed yard work and gardening.

On June 11, 1953 he married the former Irene Mazurkewiz, she survives at home. Also surviving are two sons, Daniel M. Nottingham and his wife Mary Beth and Scot J. Nottingham and his wife Kim, all of Greenville, a sister Donna Sorber of Carlton, TX, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two great-grandchildren, Caiden Nottingham and infant Eddy Nottingham, two brothers, Albert and Fred Nottingham and an infant sister Virginia Nottingham.
