Bernard F. Solo, age 79, of Pyma Dr., S. Shenango Twp., Jamestown, passed away Friday morning, December 16, 2022 in Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Huntington, PA on June 1, 1943 to Frank and Almeda (Booher) Solo. Bernie had been employed with Brick Layer Union Local 9 and had been the owner/operator of Solo Masonry in Greensburg for 40 years. He was a past member of the Jamestown Lions Club and had been named the 2010-2011 Lion Of The Year. Throughout the years, Bernie owned and restored cars and was a member of the Rolling Oldies Car Club of Southwest PA. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

On August 24, 1984 he married the former Marcia A. (Rupert) Janczewski, she survives. Also surviving are his children, David Solo (Lisa) of Greensburg, Susan Spallone (Mark) of St. Petersburg, FL and Christine Vensel (Leo) of Greensburg, two step-children, Wayne Janczewski (Wendy) of Greensburg and Michelle Janczewski (Michael) of Burbank, CA, two sisters, Jacqueline Shipp of Annapolis, MD and Shirley Uphal of Seminole, FL; a brother, Floyd Solo of West Mifflin, PA; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-daughter, Valerie Ramsey and a grandson Sean Solo.
