Jamestown

Beverly Beth (Ferguson) Denmark, age 84, of Braddock Lane, S. Shenango Twp., Jamestown PA, passed away Friday Morning, February 7, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born July 16th, 1940, in Erie to Douglas Ferguson and Margeret Dietz. Beverly Graduated from Strong Vincent High School. She married Robert "Red" Denmark on Valentines Day in 1958.

Beverly and Robert Denmark were married for 20 years, Red Denmark was a contractor and a land developer. They were married in Erie PA, but shortly after their honeymoon they moved to Pymatuning PA, where for a few years they ran the Boat Livery in Espyville. After that they purchased a lot of property in the area and started developing several allotments including Colonial Estates Development that encompasses over 500 acres and includes a 16-acre lake. Then they purchased a mobile home business with a partner Louis “Lou” Kiss. They spent many winters together in Ft. Pierce, FL where Red was a commercial fisherman in the wintertime, and Beverly worked as a Model and later a real estate agent. They lived in Jupiter, Florida at first and then later settled on Hutchison Island in Ft. Pierce FLA.

After their Divorce Red Denmark moved back to Pymatuning and Beverly stayed in Fort Pierce for several years and started her own Real Estate Company. After a few years she moved to Los Angeles CA. where she struggled for several years to build a name for herself. She became a very successful saleswoman and eventually moved to Beverly Hills where she lived for close to a decade. Her son Eric also moved to Los Angles and lived out there with her for a while. Her son Robbie Denmark moved out later. Robbie was murdered in San Diego shortly after moving back to California. Robbie’s death broke my mom. She never totally recovered from it. She moved in with a long-time friend she had known since High School named Daryll Makepeace. He lived in Rancho Bernardo outside San Diego. They lived together for several years before she decided to return to Pennsylvania to be closer to her family. Shortly after that her son Eric moved back from California to also be closer to family and friends.

After moving back Beverly and Eric got a place together. Shortly after that Beverly came down with stage 4 Lung Cancer. Eric took care of her, and she overcame the Cancer. Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s was waiting right around the corner. Her son Eric lived with her and took care of her for over a decade through the Cancer, the Alzheimer’s, and finally Dementia. It was a long hard battle that ended with Beverly catching Pneumonia in January and it ravaged her system. She was admitted to the hospital with fluid in her lungs from the Pneumonia. She was there for three days before she passed away the morning of February 7th, 2025. She was with her son when she passed. And was given the last rights at the hospital. Beverly got to meet both of her great grandchildren Arthur and Kathryn over Christmas right before she got sick. She was so happy and proud of them. She had never met them before because they live across the country, and her health had made it hard for her to travel.

Beverly is survived by a son, Eric Denmark of Westford; a daughter, Fawn and her husband Don Williams of Perry, FL; a sister, Tracey Ferguson, and a brother Pete Ferguson, of Erie; a wonderful little Shih Tzu named Curly Joe who is now being loved and taken care of by her son Eric; She has two granddaughters, Abby Kuilman and Madeline Frampton: as well as one great-granddaughter: Kathryn Kuilman and a great-grandson, Arthur Kuilman.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Margeret Ferguson, her sister Laurie Ferguson and her son, Robbie Denmark. She was a wonderful Mother and friend, and she was very loved. Beverly will be sorely missed by her surviving family and friends.
