Bonnie I. Saxton, age 83, of Baker Rd., Otter Creek Twp., Greenville, passed away Monday evening, September 9, 2024, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
She was born on April 19, 1941 in Greenville to Merle and Myrtle (Thompson) Jones. Bonnie was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed as a C.N.A. at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community for 30 years.
She was a member of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville and enjoyed working in her yard, taking her dog “Gia” for walks, watching birds, crocheting blankets for family members, and spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Bonnie married Jerry Saxton on October 14, 1988. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2012.
She is survived by two sons: Ron Dias and Steve Dias; a sister, Norma Lauffer; two grandchildren: Heather Dias and Evan Dias; and three great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Camille, and Cadie.
In addition to her husband, Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margie McGrath and Velma Piper; and a brother, Richard Jones.
Services:
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, 9/17/24 in the Chapel of Shenango Valley Cemetery, 53 College Ave., Greenville with Rev. Michael Pangio, Pastor of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville officiating. Inurnment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
