Camillo “Cam” Cianci II, age 60, of Sharon and formerly of Greenville, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021 surrounded by his family at Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Cam was born in Greenville on June 14, 1960 to Camel and Betty Cianci. He quickly inherited his love for the people of Greenville and the surrounding area from his father, who was the owner/operator of Cianci’s Barber Shop for many years. Cam was a 1979 graduate of Greenville High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business in 1983 from Thiel College.

He began his career at the Sanray Corporation, where he learned all aspects of the restaurant industry. Cam’s professionalism and ability to learn quickly led to gaining a position within Sanray as General Manager of Perkin’s Restaurant in Greenville. Cam’s work as General Manager required a move to Canton, Ohio, in 1990 where he would then meet his future wife, the former Chris Poling. They were married in 1992 and would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in June of this year.

Cam and Chris moved to Greenville, shortly after marriage and he and his cousin formed a partnership and operated the family business Cianci’s Restaurant, Bar and Motel for 23 years. As a small-town business owner, he felt compelled to support the local communities. He was a very proud father of both of his children, Cam and Courtney. He spent many years supporting his son in wrestling and other sports. Both had a love for the restaurant industry and opened Cucina di Cianci’s in Hermitage in March of 2020. He enjoyed visiting his daughter in Arizona, soaking up the sun, shopping and supporting her as she is  pursued further education in the medical field.

Cam was dearly loved by his family and friends. He had friends all over the country and no matter where he traveled, he always knew someone. Perhaps this was because Cam befriended people with ease. His sense of humor and laugh were contagious, and he had a way of making people smile.

Cleveland sports teams had no more dedicated fan than Cam Cianci. He loved the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He loved all sports both as a spectator and participant. Cam enjoyed golfing and in his younger years playing softball.

All who knew Cam, will miss his big smile, laugh, and the joy he brought to this world. Cam is survived by his wife, Christine Cianci, son Cam III and his fiancé Hannah Wonderling (Mason) of Hermitage, and daughter Courtney Cianci of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by his sister Cia Cianci, of Charleston, South Carolina. His parents, Camel and Betty Cianci, preceded him in death.
