Carol June (Wardle) Chason, 89, passed away at the home of her daughter, Lynn Hartman, in Troy, North Carolina on Saturday, September 16, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania on September 27, 1933 to Robert and Lois (McClung) Wardle. She married Kenneth R. Chason on June 30, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2019. Carol was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1951, and of New Castle Beauty Academy of New Castle, Pennsylvania. Carol worked at the White Cliff Nursing Home in Greenville, and at a beauty shop at her home.

Carol was member of Grace Baptist Church of Greenville.

Carol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Chason of Transfer, Pennsylvania, and by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Lynn (Chason) Hartman and the Rev. Jeff Hartman of Troy, North Carolina. She is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, and three great grandsons and three great granddaughters, as well as a sister, Gaye Griffin of Grove City, and many nephews and nieces.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Christopher Chason, and three sisters, Mary Watt, Nancy Sterrett, and infant Joy Wardle.
