Carol E. Shaw, age 77, of Railroad St., Jamestown, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 23, 2021 in UPMC Passavant McCandless.
She was born in Greenville on June 24, 1943 to Peter P. and Mary Ann (Balaban) Leskovac. Carol attended St. Michael Schools and had been employed as a cook for seventeen years at the former Schuster's Restaurant in Greenville. She was a member of St. Margaret's Mission in Jamestown and also watched mass on the television and recited the Rosary and Divine Chaplet daily. Carol enjoyed board games and puzzles and truly loved her dog “Gus”.
On April 28, 1978 she married Lewis E. Shaw, he survives. Also surviving is her son Daniel Shaw of Turtle Creek, PA, three sisters; Beverly (Terry) Stroup of Chicora, PA, Rosemary Leskovac (Jeff Jones) of New Wilmington and Maria Cowher of Magnolia, TX, two brothers; Michael (Judy) Leskovac of Greenville and Pete (Wendy) Leskovac of Acworth, GA, a sister-in-law; Barb Leskovac of Greenville, a granddaughter; Cerridwyn and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Paul Leskovac and a brother-in-law Chuck Cowher.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in St. Margaret's Mission, Jamestown, with Rev. Christopher Barnes, Pastor of the church, as celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Greenville.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter 94 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
