Charles B. “Chick” Burns, age 77, of Hughes Rd., Jamestown, passed away Thursday evening, February 25, 2021 in his residence with his family by his side.

He had resided in Greene Township since 1970. Chick was born in Greenville on February 11, 1944 a son of Ralph L. and Anna Mae (Knjaz) Burns. He attended Greenville schools and on May 27, 1964 he married the former Cheryl C. Artman, she survives. Chick was previously employed as a welder at Greenville Steel Car/Trinity for 38 years, after Trinity Industries closed, he graduated from New Castle School of Trades with honors and perfect attendance.

He had several line officer positions and was a life member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department. He also served as a Greene Township Supervisor for several years. Chick dearly loved his family and his Lhasa-poo, Sophie, before her death and he enjoyed spending many happy hours with his family. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and listening to country music. His favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Tony Stewart until their retirements and Ryan Blaney. He also enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and welding used garden tools into decorative birds.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles B. Burns III and his wife Terri; two daughters, Melissa Weimert and her husband Brian and Robin Foulkrod and her husband James all of Jamestown; a sister-in-law, Donna Hood of Greenville; six grandchildren, Kelly Burns, Charles Burns IV, Robert Burns, Katie Weimert Forcier (Nicholas), Kristi Foulkrod Bromley (Adam), and Michael Foulkrod; four great granddaughters, Madilyn Forcier, Makenna Forcier, Sydni Bromley, and Averi Bromley, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Burns, and a granddaughter Kasey Marie Burns.

There will be no calling hours or funeral. Private services will be held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 13 Jamestown, PA 16134. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
