Clair R. Brockway, age 90, of Coal Hill Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Friday morning, March 7, 2025, in his residence.
He was born in Greenville on February 3, 1935 to James and Mary (Callahan) Brockway and was a 1953 graduate of Penn High School. Clair had been a dedicated lifelong dairy farmer in the Greenville area.
He had attended the former W. Salem Twp. Grange and enjoyed golfing, cutting wood, tinkering and fixing everything, and playing cards with his family.
On November 17, 1962, he married the former Elizabeth “Betty” McClure; she passed away December 11, 2004.
Clair is survived by three sons: Richard J. Brockway of Greenville, Brian L. Brockway of Pittsburgh, and Douglas C. (Kim) Brockway of Pittsburgh; and a grandchild, Parker W. Brockway.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Brockway and Gail Brockway.
Services:
Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 3/12/25, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Committal Prayers for the family will be held in Park Lawn Cemetery, Jamestown, with Rev. John Hodge officiating.
