Clifford J. McClain

Clifford J. McClain, age 84, of Morefield Rd. Hermitage, formerly of Robinson Twp., PA., passed away on July 28, 2024 in his residence.

He was born in Robinson Twp. on November 6, 1939 to Clifford P. and Emma G. (Nixon) McClain. Clifford married the former Coreen F. Arford on February 27, 1964, she passed away on September 20, 2011. He then married the former Susan “Diane” (Calvin) Daoust on November 6, 2019. She survives.

Clifford retired from the United States Air Force in 1980 and subsequently was employed in civil service with the Department of Defense until 1995. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clifford is survived two daughters: Charlene J. Williamson of Cincinnati, OH and Tracey L. Wakely of Altus, OK; a son, Aaron McClain of Oklahoma; a stepdaughter, Bernadette Zachary (Tom) of Westfield, NY; two sisters: Clara J. Waters of Saltsburg, PA and Janette M. Duncan of Farmington, MI, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Services:

A Private Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of St. Michael Cemetery with Father Brandon Kleckner, Pastor of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church officiating. Greenville VFW Post #3374 will render military honors at the conclusion of the service. Inurnment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Greenville.
