David L. Leeper, age 73, of W. Jamestown Rd., Jamestown passed away Saturday morning, January 27, 2024 in UPMC Hamot, Erie. He was born in Warren, OH on October 6, 1950 a son of Lyal and Louise (Dempsteer) Leeper.

He was a 1969 graduate of Lakeview High School in Cortland, OH where he excelled in football, track and field, and was one of the top 10 in the state of Ohio in shot put and discus and then received his BSN in Nursing from Kent State University. On July 31, 1991 David married the former Linda Lumley, she survives. He was employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren, OH for 15 years and was a nurse at Trumbull Correctional Facility in Leavittsburg, OH for many years. David also worked construction and built his house in Jamestown. He enjoyed writing, drawing, fishing, watching demo derby's, telling jokes and making people laugh and truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.

In addition to his wife of 32 years, he is survived by two daughters, Tracey Frye of Erie, PA, Stacy McAdoo and her companion Charles Running of Newton Falls, OH; two sons, Trey Leeper of Pittsburgh, Michael McAdoo and his wife Micki of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Paige Turner, Alexis Turner and her companion Steven Kuhn, Tyler Turner, Kelsey McAdoo, Kylie McAdoo, Kaleb McAdoo, Levi Leeper, and Jaxson Leeper; three great grandchildren, Carter Riggs, Adalynn Riggs, and Nolan Kuhn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Eric Leeper, and a sister Donna Shreves.
