David G. Toney

David G. Toney, age 63, of South Mercer Street, Greenville passed away on July 12, 2024 at his residence.  

He was born on March 4, 1961 to Gene and Mary Lou (Perrine) Toney.  David graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1979 and then worked with the Vision Quest wagon train before being employed 30 years in the heating and air conditioning field in Ohio and South Carolina.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and keyboard, growing plants, and loved his chihuahua Roxy. David was an avid reader who also enjoyed fishing.

David is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Chaya, sons Nicholas (Olivia) Toney of OH, Philip Toney of OH, and Jason Toney of OH, a granddaughter, Mayley Toney of OH, a sister, Michelle Zager of SC, a brother, Bill (Linda) Toney of NY, two nephews, Seth (Katrina) Zager of MI and Jacob (Traci) Zager of OH, a niece, Shelby Zager of SC, three great-nieces, and four great-nephews .

David was preceded in death by his father, Gene Toney, and his step-father, Henry Chaya.

Services:

Cremation was chosen, and there will be no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville.
