Donald H. Bee, Sr., age 96, of Oak Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday evening October 26, 2021.

He was born in Commodore, PA on September 13, 1925 to Laurence H. and Eva R. (Lydic) Bee. Don was a 1943 graduate of Penn High School and served in the U.S. Navy as an aviation boatswain 3 rd class aboard the U.S. Intrepid during WWII. He retired in 1983 from the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co., where he was employed as a maintenance foreman for thirty years. Don was a devout Christian and was an active member of Church of Christ, Greenville, American Legion Post #140 and had served as Vice President and President of the Greenville Railroad Park & Museum for many years. He enjoyed restoring player pianos, working on cars, traveling and experiencing new things, exercising and socializing at the UPMC Welness Center for over thirty years and most of all, spending time with friends and family.

On January 27, 1945 he married the former Eloise M. Lineman, she survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Margie Dorfeld and her husband Bob of Greenville, three sons, Donald H. Bee II and his wife Jeanne of Greenville, William G. Bee and his wife Jackie of Jamestown and James H. Bee and his wife Deborah of Mebane, NC, a sister, Dorothy McConnell of Greenville and a brother, Richard Bee and his wife Sandra of Canfield, OH, nine grandchildren, eight grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Ennis and a great-great granddaughter.
