Donald E. Gruver, age 92, of E. Lake Rd., Transfer, passed away Monday afternoon, August 2, 2021 in his residence. He was born in Jamestown, PA on August 29, 1928 a son of Henry and Edna Mae (Tanner) Gruver.
He was was a truck driver for 60 years and was previously employed at Yourga Trucking Inc for 10 years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and putting puzzles together.
He is survived by three children, D. Douglas Gruver, Vickie Wickline and her husband Edward, and Bradley Gruver and his wife Pat; four siblings, Shirley Gruver, Dixie Gruver, Jim Gruver, and Paul Kiser; five grandchildren, Brandy Jo Kaufman, Amber Hancock, Brenda Gruver, Whitney Gruver, and Michael Gruver; nine great grandchildren, Elizabeth Chase, Nevada Wickline, James Chase, Katelyn Kaufman, Mackenzie Hancock, Grace Kaufman, Jackie Hancock, Memphis Wickline, and Lily Wickline. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings David Gruver, Marilyn Gruver, Kenny Gruver, and a grandson Edward A. Wickline.
As per Donald's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Inurnment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
