Donald Lankerd

Donald E. Lankerd, Jr., age 65, of Main St., Jamestown passed away Wednesday morning, January 3, 2024 in UPMC Hamot. He was born in Greenville on May 8, 1958 a son of Donald E., Sr. and Lucy A. (Russo) Lankerd.

He was a 1977 graduate of Greenville High School where he played football and on August 26, 1978 Don married the former Julia K. Maupin, she survives. He was employed as a bore scope operator at Salem Tube Inc. for over 30 years. He was an amateur radio operator “WU3D”, enjoyed oil painting, photography, watching Greenville High School football games, and truly enjoyed spending time with family.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a son, Jason Alabran and his wife Jen of Greenville; a sister, Maria Ludwig and her husband Rick of Greenville; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per Don's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
