Donald N. "Donnie" Marini

Donald N. "Donnie" Marini, age 68, of Fredonia Rd., Hempfield, Twp., Greenville, passed away Monday afternoon, January 13, 2025, in his residence following a 20-year battle with brain cancer.

He was born May 23, 1956 in Greenville to Alfred and Helene (Gerlach) Marini. Donnie was a 1974 graduate of Greenville High School and earned his A. B. in accounting from Robert Morris University. He had been employed for 30 years in the accounting department of the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad.

Donnie was a former member of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville. He enjoyed collecting antiques, especially Kensington pieces, and attending antiques shows. He also had performed in several theater productions in high school and college.

Donnie is survived by his life partner of 20 years, Carmen R. Fazio, of Greenville; his father, Alfred Marini, of Greenville; a sister, Cynthia L. (David) Stefanosky of Streetsboro, OH; two nieces, Londa (Zach) Churchill and Megan (J. P.) Kraft; three great-nephews; one great-niece; and two special individuals whom Donnie helped raise during his time in Pittsburgh, Gil and Margaret Kross.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

Services:

A Funeral Service will be held at 6 PM Friday, 1/17/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville with Rev. Michael Pangio, Pastor of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on 1/17/25 from 4 PM until time of service. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society: PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
