Donna Kroner, age 81, of Holiday Lane, Hempfield Twp., Greenville passed away Saturday morning, October 12, 2024, in her residence.
She was born in Bellefonte, PA on August 11, 1943 to Donald and Helen (Moyer) Corman. Donna earned her B. S. in Education from Pennsylvania State University and her M. S. in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University. She also was a Certified Behavioral Specialist.
Donna worked as an elementary school teacher and was the co-founder of an infant stimulation program in Butler, PA. She also was employed as a substitute teacher in the Greenville school system and started the preschool program at St. Michael’s School in Greenville. Additionally, Donna was employed by Sharon Hospital as a Transitional Support Services (TSS) worker for families of autistic children and later worked as a Behavior Support Specialist at Sharon Hospital supervising TSS workers. She also worked part-time as business manager of Contour Form Products for 30 years.
Donna was an avid reader who volunteered with the Friends of the Greenville Public Library, served as chairman of several library book sales and co-chaired Greenville book fairs. She was active with Boy Scouts of America, serving in committee positions and as a merit badge counselor. Donna traveled extensively throughout the country with her husband in support of her interest in geocaching and successfully geocached in in all 48 contiguous states. She was a Penn State Master Gardener, a member of the 500 card club, participated in the Penn State Strong Women program, and was a member of the retired teachers book club for many years.
On April 30, 1964, Donna married her husband of 60 years, Robert H. Kroner; he survives.
In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Kroner of Starkville, MS and Michael Kroner of Erie; a sister, Trudy Kline of Pleasant Gap, PA; and three grandsons: Noah Kroner, Ethan Kroner, and Logan Kroner.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Per Donna’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and a Memorial Service is being planned for June of 2025. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenville Public Library, 330 Main St. Greenville, PA 16125 or the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
