Doris A. Dibble, age 89, of Calvin Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 27, 2025, in Clepper Manor.

She was born in Pittsburgh on February 21, 1936 to James and Florence (Todd) Iams. Doris had been employed as a laborer at Penn Tech and previously had been employed at Andover Industries.

Doris was a past volunteer at UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and spending time with her family.

On August 15, 1953, Doris married Norman E. Dibble; he passed away December 7, 1986.

She is survived by three daughters: Sue (Rick) Veverka of Edinburg, VA, Anita (Ron) Baxendell of Wilmington, NC, and Lois (Fred) Dibble-Boyd of Greenville; a son, Dan (Diane) Dibble of Greenville; a brother, Joe (Flossie) Iams of Oxford, FL; a brother-in-law, Bill (Diane) Dibble of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren: Bud Veverka, Laura Leskovac, Josh Veverka, Jason Dibble, Blake Baxendell, and Jamie Baxendell; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bessie McElhaney; and a brother, Jim Iams.

Services:

Cremation was chosen, and no services will be held. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hermitage. Memorial Contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
