Doris J. Palmiter, age 96, of Fry Rd., Jamestown passed away Thursday morning, February 8, 2024 in UPMC Greenville. She was born in Jamestown on July 27, 1927 a daughter of Glen and Ann (Steel) Biery.

She was a 1945 graduate of Jamestown High School and on March 30, 1951 Doris married Joseph O. Palmiter, he passed away March 16, 2010. She was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church and Jamestown Eastern Star. Doris enjoyed crocheting, needle work, baking, and reading.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Palmiter of Jamestown, Joseph Palmiter and his wife Charlotte of Lacey, WA; a brother, Joe Biery; two granddaughters, Liana Cook and her husband Daniel, Brandi Palmiter and her fiance Cody Lucas; four great grandchildren, Robbie, Joseph, Ryan, and Skylar and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Glen Biery and James Biery, two sisters, Madalyn Fry and Nene Goldsmith.
