Dorothy Louise Armour, age 102 of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023 in The Ridgewood at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Greenville on February 20, 1921 to Lloyd T. and Fannie J. (Loutzenhiser) Armour. Dot was a 1939 graduate of Penn High School and had been employed for 40 years as the Executive Secretary to the plant manager of the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. Greenville plant, retiring on September 30, 1982. She was a lifelong member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Greenville. Dot was a member and past president of Greenville Business & Professional Women’s Club, a charter member of Greenville Historical Society having served as director and secretary of that organization. She had also served on the board of directors of the Greenville Area United Way, treasurer of the chapter of the Thiel Women’s Club and as secretary of the Board of Trustees of Greenville Hospital. In her younger years, Dot was active in many community actives, played bridge, loved to dance and enjoyed music, especially the “Big Band” orchestras.

Survivors include, three nieces; Kathleen (Armour) Sikora and her husband John of Erie, Jane (Smith) Timblin and her husband Bruce of Greenville and Dottie (Smith) Bovard and her husband Robert of Mars, PA, two nephews; Robert Armour and his wife Karen of Erie and Dr. Jerry Smith of Browns Mills, NJ, three great nephews; Jay Smith, Gregory Sikora and Mark Sikora, two great nieces; Jenny Lourens and Kalle Kula, four great-great nieces; Allison, Mallory and Jillian Lourens and Molly Sikora and two great-great nephews; Cameron Lourens and Matej Sikora. She was preceded in death by her parents, a best friend David E. Baughman, a brother Lawrence E. Armour and his wife Celia, two sisters, Geraldine McCracken and her husband Donald and Betty Smith and her husband Robert.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Rev. David A. Dobi, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church,
officiating. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville Historical Society 23 W. Main St. Greenville, PA 16125.
