Edward Louis Marini, age 91, of Clarksville St., Greenville and of Davidson Rd., Jamestown, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, in his residence.
He was born April 26, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Nazzarenno and Augusta (Tiberi) Marini. Ed was a 1950 graduate of Penn High School and served in the United States Army from 1953 – 1955. He then completed his B. S. degree at Thiel College in 1957. Edward retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1992 following a 38.5-year career as Assistant Administrator for the Mercer County Board of Assistance.
He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville; Knights of Columbus Fitzmartin Council #1446; B. P. O. E. #145; and enjoyed traveling, reading, and music.
Edward is survived by two sisters, Mary Blake of Portland, OR and Patricia Marini of Melbourne, Australia; two nephews, Michael E. Blake and Richard A. Blake; two nieces, Patricia J. Blake and Susan L. Blake; and numerous close cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnne Marini.
Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM Monday, 1/13/25, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville with Fr. Raymond Gramata as Celebrant. Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the Mass by Greenville VFW Post #3374 Honor Guard. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St. Greenville, PA 16125.
