It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Eleanor L. Ferguson, of Jamestown who went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2024, at the age of 91.
Born on May 24, 1933, in Cleveland, OH to Richard and Louise (Chryn) Lenak. Eleanor was a 1951 graduate of Parma Schaft High School and had been employed as a cashier-teller with Beneficial Finance Company and formerly owned Meadow Lake Campground for 15 years. On February 6, 1954, Eleanor married Stanley W. J. Ferguson; he survives. She spent her days using her creativity and love to bless the lives of her husband of seventy-one years, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Her memory will also be cherished by her church family at Harvest Baptist Church of Greenville. While the loss will be felt by those who loved her there is also joy in the knowledge of Eleanor’s eternal home in heaven through her relationship with Jesus Christ her Savior. She will forever be remembered for her steadfast commitment to her beloved husband, to her family and above all to her Savior. Also surviving are two daughters: Carla Ferguson of Marblehead, OH and Colleen (Kevin) Hoffman of Grafton, OH; two sons: Cary Ferguson of Marblehead, OH and Chad (Rebecca) Ferguson of Jamestown; a daughter-in-law, Jill Ferguson of Lowellville, OH; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
