Emma Jane Brockway, age 97, of St. Paul's Senior Living Community and formerly of W. Main St., Greenville, passed away Monday morning, May 9, 2022.

She was born in Greenville on October 13, 1924 to Ivan and Belle (Hawthorne) Loutzenhiser. Emma Jane was a 1942 graduate of Penn High School and had worked for twenty years at the former D'Alfono's Golden Dawn and retired from St. Paul Homes in 1986, after fifteen years of employment. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Greenville, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Emma Jane was a former 7th Degree member of the West Salem Grange and The Order of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed reading, sports, square dancing and spending time with her family. With her and her husband not ever having children of their own, her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews were all treated like her own. On June 8, 1954 she married John Brockway, he passed away on November 11, 2016.

Emma Jane is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Bud Loutzenhiser, Glenn Loutzenhiser and Fred Loutzenhiser , a nephew, Bruce Loutzenhiser and a niece, Wendy Loutzenhiser.
