Eva Lorraine Murphy, age 89, of Murphy Rd., Greene Twp., Jamestown, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. She was born in Greenville on May 21, 1934 to Alma B. and Nora (Lanning) Cadman.
Lorraine had been employed at Packard Electric in Warren, OH for 23 years. Her hobbies included playing bingo, reading, suduko puzzles, taking trips to the casino, camping with her children and grandchildren and traveling, especially bus trips with her sisters and her daughter. Lorraine will be remembered as one of the most loving and selfless persons in the world.
On March 14, 1952, she married Frank R. Murphy, he passed away February 9, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. Truitt and her husband Chuck (favorite son-in-law) of Marion, SC; three sons, Frank R. Murphy and wife Kathleen of Greenville, David W. Murphy and his companion Melissa Coon of Jamestown and Scott A. Murphy and his wife Rebecca of Hadley; a sister, Carol Richards of Jamestown; a brother, Richard Cadman and his wife Brenda of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parent, husband, 2 sisters, Mary Klingensmith and Norma Dillen and a brother Bill Cadman.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held in Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown, with Rev. Kent Bell, Pastor of Bethel Life Worship Center, officiating. Inurnment will be in Parklawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125. All arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
