Dr. Federico P. Vallesteros

Dr. Federico P. Vallesteros, age 87, of Greenville Rd., Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024.

He was born March 6, 1937 in Echague, Isabella, Philippines to Manuel and Jacinta (Pascual) Vallesteros. Dr. Vallesteros was a graduate of MAPA High School and completed his B. S. and M. D. at the University of Santo Tomas. He was employed as an Anesthesiologist at Greenville Hospital from 1970 until his retirement in 2001.

Dr. Vallesteros was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and Knights of Columbus Fitzmartin Council #1446. He enjoyed walking, painting, stamp collecting, and swimming and loved driving his classic cars in the Jamestown Fair parade and entering his artistic works and garden projects in the fair exhibition for many years. Dr. Vallesteros greatly enjoyed spending summers at his Pymatuning lake house and truly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On June 18, 1965, he married the former Sandra Lea Hoyt; she preceded him in death on June 20, 1977.

Dr. Vallesteros is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Anne Vallesteros-Kelly and her husband, David F. Kelly, of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Sandra F. Vallesteros-Kelly and Devin D. Vallesteros-Kelly; two great-grandchildren: Gavon and Althea; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Kevin Vallesteros; six sisters; and four brothers.

Services:

Family and friends will be received from 4-6 PM on Thursday, 1/2/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Burial will be in Casebeer Cemetery, Sipesville, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St. Greenville, PA 16125.
