Fred W. Michael, age 79, of Woodbine Dr., Greenville passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 in the Grove at Greenville.
He was born in Youngstown, OH on July 23, 1941 a son of Edward and Cora (Dellenberger) Michael. He was a 1959 graduate of South High in Youngstown, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Youngstown State University, and received his Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He was employed as a field engineer for 5 years at New York Central Railroad in Cleveland, OH and then worked for 15 years in the engineering department of the Bessemer & Lake Erie Rail Road.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Greenville and the Antique Auto Club. Fred also enjoyed model trains and his 1951 Plymouth. On October 22, 1965 he married the former Marilyn Paschke, she survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; David Edward Michael and a brother; Edward Michael.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in St John's Lutheran Church, 10 Bell Hill Rd., Greenville, with Rev. John Coleman, pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be private in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 10 Bell Hill Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or Greenville Railroad Museum Park, 314 Main St., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
