Gary Johnson

Gary L. Johnson, age 74, of Miller Rd., Transfer passed away Friday morning, October 20, 2023 in The Grove at Greenville. He was born in Geneva, PA on June 25, 1949 a son of Leonard Johnson and Dora (Williams) Frantz.

He was a 1967 graduate of Jamestown High School and on July 26, 1969 Gary married the former Loretta Mowry, she survives. He was employed as a welder for thirty-seven years at Greenville Steel Car and retiring from Trinity Industries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife of 54 years he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Rood of Sharpsville; a son Todd Johnson and his wife Cathy of Greenville; two grandchildren, Gryphon Johnson and Tyler Rood. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Johnson, and a sister Beverly McGirr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville with Rev.
