Gayle D. Miller, age 74, of Woodview Dr. Pymatuning Twp., Transfer, passed away Friday June 25, 2021 in the ER of UPMC Horizon Greenville, after a period of failing health. She was born in Greenville on September 19, 1946 to Edward and Frances (Banic) Deets.

Gayle was a 1964 graduate of Reynolds High School, received her R.N certification from Oil City Hospital School Nursing, her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Thiel College and her Master's Degree in Nursing from Penn State University. She was employed as a floor nurse and later as the head nurse of the Orthopedic floor at Greenville Regional Hospital. Gayle then moved within the hospital to being the director of the education department and she retired from UPMC as the manager of the Life Care Cancer Center in Sandy Lake.

She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and was a member of Reynolds V.F.W. Post #7599 Ladies Auxiliary. Gayle had been active with the Reynolds High School Alumi Assoc., the Greenville Hospital Retirees Group, Relay for Life and served as a volunteer with M.E.R.P. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. On October 12, 1974 she married John R. Miller, he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
