Gordon A. Reash, age 79, of Brentwood Dr., Pymatuning Twp., passed away Friday morning, July 16, 2021 in UPMC Shadyside.
He was born in Greenville on February 15, 1942 to Howard L. and Helen (Williamson) Reash. He was a 1960 graduate of Greenville High School, served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1963 and was a 1965 graduate of Temple University School of Respiratory Therapy. Gordon had been employed as a Respiratory Therapist at the former Youngstown Hospital Association. Upon retirement, he worked as a ranger at Oakland Beach Golf Course.
He was a member of Reynolds V.F.W. Post #7599, Fredonia American Legion Post #919 and was a past member of B.P.O.E. #145, and F.O.P. Lodge #88. As a Mason, he was a member of F&AM #517, Sharpsville, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine, Erie, Mercer County Shrine and the Mercer County Shrine Wheel Patrol. Gordon was a supporter of Reynolds High School Athletics for many years and was a charter member of the Reynolds Wrestling Road Crew. He was an avid golfer and belonged to many local leagues and he was a Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.
On May 22, 1965 he married the former Ruth A. Santoro, she passed away on March 7, 2005. He is survived by his son; James A. Reash and his wife Michelle of Greenville, a brother; Donald Reash and his wife Theresa of Greenville a granddaughter; Kayla Renee Reash, a great-granddughter; Tara Spaulding, three step-grandchildren; Richard Manilla and his wife Hannah, Joey Manilla and his wife Natalie and Francesca Elford and her husband Cody, a step great-grandchild; Leo Alford and his previous daughter-in-law; Angie Reash. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister; Shirley Reash.
