Herbert J. Vanderslice, age 83, of Beatty School Road, Hadley, passed away Friday, October 21,2022 in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Greenville on March 22,1939 to Frank L and Jean L (Jones) Vanderslice. Herb was a 1958 graduate of Pymatuning Joint High School and a 1989 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a BA in Business Administration. He retired in 2002 from the Internal Revenue Service in Phoenix, AZ where he had been employed for fifteen years. He was previously employed by Anderson Construction and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Herb was a member of Perry Baptist Church and was a past member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #805 and Greenville Family Moose Center #276. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

On July 24,1958 he married the former Pearl L. Varner, she passed away February 8, 2009. Herb is survived by a daughter, Pamela Fahl and her husband Greg of Bedford, IN, a son, Scott Vanderslice and his wife Nikki of Sharon, two sisters, Mary Grantham and her husband Mark and Betty Gold and her husband Rick, a brother, Frank Vanderslice and his wife Charla all of Greenville, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife Helen Vanderslice, his mother Jean Sherbondy and her husband Harold Sherbondy,his wife Pearl, a son, Herbert J. Vanderslice, JR., two brothers, Robert Vanderslice and Duane Vanderslice and a step-brother, Daniel Speck.
