Ivan R. Pritts, age 90, of Harrisville, PA and formerly of Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 26, 2021 in the ER of Grove City Medical Center.
He was born in Canonsburg, PA on October 7, 1931 to Ivan A. and Florence E. (Neely) Pritts. Ivan attended Canonsburg High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1996 from Grief Bros. Corporation in Franklin, where he was employed as a foreman for forty years. Ivan was a member of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville. He was also a Life Member of Strabane V.F.W. Post #553 and a member of Fredonia American Legion Post #919, Canonsburg Sportsman Club, Greenville Family Moose Center #276 and the Greenville Italian Home Club.
On October 8, 1959 he married the former Dorine A. Nestor, she survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Shelly Snyder of Harrisville, two brothers, Donald Pritts of Canonsburg and Robert Pritts of Strabane, PA, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ivan A. Pritts.
Due to COVID-19 Safety Concerns, the family has chosen to have a Private Funeral Service on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Rev. Joel DiAngi, Pastor of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville, officiating. Greenville VFW Post #3374 will render military honors at the conclusion of the service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, Canonsburg, PA.
