Jack R. Bowser, age 83, of Mitchell Hill Rd., Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in his residence.

He was born in New Kensington, PA on March 26, 1941 to Marion R. and Margaret I. (Brough) Bowser. Jack was a 1959 graduate of Arnold High School and served in the U. S. Army 101st Airborne Division from 1960-1962. He was employed for 28 years as the Diesel Shop Supervisor at the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad, retiring in 1992.

Jack was a life member of Greenville VFW Post #3374 where he had been active with the Honor Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flower and vegetable gardening, collecting hats, and spending time at his camp in Renovo, PA.

On December 21, 1962, Jack married the former Carolyn B. Shrodes; she passed away May 30, 2016.

He will be sorely missed by his sister, Jean (Irvin) Hecker of Lower Burrell, PA and two grandchildren, Kyle and Ory Savchuk.

In addition to his wife, Jack is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sherri Savchuk.

Services:

No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, PA.
