James H. Loutzenhiser, age 79, of Mayville, NY passed away Friday morning, April 30, 2021 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community, Greenville, PA.

Jim was born in Greenville on June 25, 1941 to John R. and Catherine E. (Gilger) Loutzenhiser. He was a 1959 graduate of Greenville High School and was a 1964 graduate of Parsons College in Fairfield, IA, with a B.A. in Business Management. Jim was employed as an Assistant Vice President of Branch Banking for eleven years at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, had been the owner/operator of the Etna and Allison Park, PA Dairy Queens and was the owner/operator of J.H.L. Properties in Pittsburgh.

He was a past member of Elfinwild United Presbyterian Church, Glenshaw. Jim had been active with DeMolay International and had received the Degree of Chevalier. As a Mason, he was a member of F&AM #15 Clinton Lodge, Fairfield, IA. Jim was the founder of Big Brothers of Allegheny County and had served on the Board of Directors. Jim enjoyed trap and skeet shooting and had been a past board member of the Etna Sportsmans Club.

While residing in Mayville, NY he served as Past President and Boat Captain of the Chautauqua Belle Steam Powered Vessel and was a Past Vice President and member of Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club. Jim loved to snowmobile and had made eleven trips to Yellowstone National Park.

On October 23, 1998 he married the former Dayle A. (Brazet) Olechnowicz, she survives in Mayville. Also surviving is his sister-in-law; Jane A. Loutzenhiser of Greenville, two nieces; Susan E. Holzshu of Greenville and Molly C. Doddo of Phippsburg, ME, three nephews; John E. Loutzenhiser of Ellicott City, MD, James M. Loutzenhiser of Pittsburgh and Cris H. Loutzenhiser of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Amy J. Doddo and her husband Archie and a brother; Jack G. Loutzenhiser.
