James Majcher

James T Majcher, age 76, of Midway Dr. Jamestown, passed away Thursday June 20, 2024 in his residence. He was born in Cleveland, OH on March 18, 1948 to Leonard and Irene (Soos) Majcher.

Jim was a graduate of Wickliffe High School, attended Lakeland Community College and received his LPN Certification from the Noedler School of Practical Nursing. He retired from the Ashtabula County Nursing Rehab Center, where he had been employed as an LPN for 16 1/2 years. He had previously been employed for 20 years at Continental Aluminum in Westford. Jim was an avid Cleveland sports fan and loved to walleye fish on Pymatuning Lake. He served as a medic in Vietman with the U.S. Army 1st Calvary 229th Unit.

On June 7, 1975 he married the former Sharon D Etling, she survives. Also surviving is a son, Seth A Majcher of Jamestown; a daughter, Marissa S Majcher of Santa Cruz, CA; a sister Dorothy Blake of Michigan and a cousin, Donald Sterba of Lyndhurst, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Service 416 Liberty St. Jamestown.
