JoAnn Stansfield Stack, 91, of St. Paul’s Heritage, 339 E Jamestown Rd, Greenville, formerly of Clear Lake, Texas, passed away on February 11, 2021 at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was a saved person, having trusted exclusively in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for her justification unto eternal life and salvation from the debt and penalty of sin; apart from works of any kind or at any time.

JoAnn was born in Galveston, Texas on November 30th, 1929 to Frank and Lillian Stansfield. She attended Galveston schools and graduated from Ball High. After attending West Texas State College, she worked as the Monsanto Plant Manager’s secretary in Texas City.
JoAnn married Robert (Bob) Lee Stack in 1950. He was a career Amoco chemical engineer. They had two children, Robert Bruce Stack and Susan Stack Snyder. They moved to Illinois in 1960 and lived there for over 25 years. During that time JoAnn worked in real estate. In 1979, JoAnn and Bob moved to Clear Lake, Texas. She was employed there by IBM for many years. JoAnn and Bob were avid bridge players. Bob died in 1994. In 2010, JoAnn’s grandson, LCPL James (Katelyn) Stack, USMC, was Killed in Action in Afghanistan. JoAnn moved to St. Paul’s Heritage in Greenville, PA in 2015. Her daughter, Susan Snyder, and family live nearby in Jamestown.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Robert Bruce (Linda) Stack, Susan (Jay) Snyder; grandchildren Brandon (Molly) Snyder, Spencer Snyder and Megan (James) Proshek; great grandchildren, Mikayla Stack and Hallie Dawn Ulrich and Abe Snyder. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank J. and Lillian L. Stansfield, husband, Robert Lee Stack, a brother, Frank J. (Verita) Stansfield, Jr. and grandson, LCPL James Bray (Katelyn) Stack, USMC.

The family would like to thank St. Paul’s, Linda Paxton, Kelly Burns, Wanda Floch and Taylor Saulsbery for the wonderful care they provided to JoAnn. It was JoAnn’s wish to be cremated and have her ashes buried in the family plot at the Galveston County Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.  Arrangements have been entrusted to LOUTZENHISER-JORDAN FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St.,, Greenville.
