John F. Perseghetti, Jr., age 73, of U. S. Highway 322, Jamestown passed away Monday morning, December 2, 2024, in his residence.
He was born on March 28, 1951 in Meadville to John F. and Helen V. (Smithers) Perseghetti. John was a 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School and had retired as the owner and operator of J. P Construction, Jamestown. He previously owned and operated Persey’s Restaurant in Jamestown and had been employed by Anderson Construction for several years.
John was a past volunteer firefighter, SCUBA Rescue Team member, and lifetime member of Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of Jamestown Firemen’s Club and Pump House #45, Hartstown. John enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, snowmobiling, and classic cars.
He is survived by four sisters: Mary Elizabeth Zimmerman of Jamestown, Linda Jo Splitstone of Akron, OH, Dorothy Ann Jellots of Sebring, Fl, and Diane Merrill Perseghetti-Vogan and her husband, Michael, of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Peggy Doughton, of Jamestown.
John is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Lee Perseghetti.
Services:
Family and friends will be received from 4-7 PM on Monday, 12/9/24, in Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St. Jamestown. Burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department, 208 Depot St., Jamestown, PA 16134.
